MORE ABOUT LOUIS SCHOLZ
Louis Scholz is a professional gemologist with a degree from the Columbia School of Gemology. He is the founder of Fine Jewelry by Louis, a wholesale antique jewelry company, as well as founder and designer of the English-made Brixton and Gill, Inc.. cufflink company.
Louis has been in the jewelry industry for more than 25 years with his primary focus being on antique jewelry and cufflink manufacturing. He is a member of the American Gem Society (AGS), the Manufacturing Jewelers (MJSA) the Diamond Council of America (DCA)., and the 24K Club, South Eastern Guild. His company, Brixton & Gill, was the first British manufacturing firm admitted to the American Gemological Society.
Before starting his own wholesale antique jewelry company, Louis worked as a jewelry repair person, as an assayer in a gold refinery, and as a partner in an antiques store in Baltimore, Maryland. In the mid 1980s, Louis discovered his true penchant—the search, acquisition, and conservation of antique and period jewelry.
Outside of work, Louis’ passion is helping children through volunteer work with the Jewelers For Children (JFC) charity. Founded in 1999, the industry’s charity has invested nearly $28 million in special programs to reach children whose lives have been devastated by catastrophic illness or life-threatening abuse and neglect.

MORE ABOUT OLIVIA JOHNSON SCHOLZ
In addition to founding St. John & Myers, Olivia Johnson Scholz is also a principal of Brixton and Gill, for whom she negotiated a license and royalty agreement to launch the B & G brand in Europe.
Before founding St. John & Myers, Olivia worked with the Estate Jewelers Association of America (EJAA). As corporate actions manager, Olivia was an integral part of the association’s marketing team, as well as the company’s membership and publications divisions. She managed the customer service efforts for both divisions and created and executed the marketing plan. In addition, she developed financial analysis for each division. As project manager, she planned, and then oversaw development of a B-to-B and a B-to-C website.
Previously, Olivia worked as a transfer pricing consultant for PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC) in Washington, DC. In that position, she analyzed data and wrote reports based upon multinational client interviews, industry analysis, and comparative financial analysis of clients’ and industry financial statements. In addition, she trained new employees on the txf private practice’s international proprietary software tool. Olivia was the only economist from Kentucky recruited to PWC’s txr Prc practice and paved the way for future economists from the University of Kentucky to join PWC.
Olivia graduated Cum Laude with a bachelor of science in business and economics (BSBE) from the University of Kentucky in Economics with departmental honors. In addition, she is a life member of Alpha Kappa Psi, a national business fraternity whose mission is to develop well trained, ethical, skilled, resourceful, and experienced business leaders.
In 1988, Olivia helped found the U.K. chapter of Alpha Kappa Psi in 1998. She is also an alumnus of Kappa Kappa Gamma and a Fellow of the UK Alumni Association.
A Lexingtonian, Olivia graduated Sayre School with the headmaster’s medal and is a former member of Sayre’s Alumni Advisory Board. |
